Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) was founded in 1920 and is a national key university with a focus on science and engineering, coordinating the development of multiple disciplines including science, engineering, management, liberal arts, economics, law, and arts. The university is one of the first institutions selected for the "211 Project" and "985 Project" key construction, and was selected for the "Double First-Class" construction in 2017. The university has achieved a series of major landmark achievements in aerospace, robotics, small satellites, equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials and other fields, making important contributions to major national science and technology projects.
