Bachelor of Environmental Studies | UM-SATU (University Malaya) is a 3.5-year, full-time, on-campus bachelor's programme delivered in English at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur — designed to develop environmental studies graduates with strong foundations in sustainability, environmental management, physical environment, GIS and environmental policy.
The curriculum spans physical environment, sustainability concepts, cartography, environmental analysis, environmental management, GIS, remote sensing, field work on sustainability research, environmental law, ethics, global environmental change, environmental governance, research projects, specialisation electives and industrial training.
Graduates are equipped for careers as Environmental Consultant, Sustainability Officer, Conservation Scientist, Environmental Policy Analyst, Climate Change Analyst, Natural Resource Manager, Urban Sustainability Planner, Environmental Compliance Officer and Water Resource Specialist — or to pursue postgraduate study at University Malaya.
