Courses (overview)

• The Industrial Design (Chinese-taught) undergraduate programme (4 years) is delivered in Chinese and covers design sketching, design colour, design composition, history of industrial design, ergonomics, product design principles, product design methods, computer-aided design, materials and processes, design presentation, exhibition design, and design psychology, building foundations in industrial design fundamentals, product form and structure design practice, and design presentation and integrated innovation applications through coursework and projects (aligned with “Core subjects” and the application process below; modules follow programme notices).

Career pathways (overview)

• Graduates may pursue roles in product design and manufacturing enterprises, internet and technology companies, design consultancies and cultural/creative enterprises, and exhibition and display organisations, including assistant product designer, form and structure design support, model making and exhibition support, and design project coordination support, subject to employers’ requirements and recruitment policies.
• They may also pursue further postgraduate study in industrial design, design studies, product design, and art theory, subject to admissions.
