• The Internet of Things Engineering (Chinese-taught) undergraduate programme (4 years) is delivered in Chinese and covers introduction to the Internet of Things, sensors and detection technology, principles of embedded systems, data structures and algorithms, fundamentals of computer networks, wireless sensor networks, IoT security technology, database principles and applications, IoT system development and practice, and IoT experiments and integrated projects, building foundations in introduction to IoT and sensors and detection technology, embedded systems and data structures and algorithms, computer networks and wireless sensor networks, IoT security and database applications, IoT system development and practice and integrated IoT project applications through coursework and projects (aligned with “Core subjects” and the application process below; modules follow programme notices).

Career pathways (overview)

• Graduates may pursue roles in internet and technology companies, smart manufacturing and industrial internet, smart city and IoT platform organisations, and electronics and systems integration enterprises, including IoT system development assistant, embedded development assistant, sensor and network technology support assistant, and systems integration assistant, subject to employers’ requirements and recruitment policies.
• They may also pursue further postgraduate study in Internet of Things engineering, computer science and technology, electronic information engineering, artificial intelligence, and related MA/PhD programmes, subject to admissions.
