In order to actively respond to the national opening-up strategy, accelerate the construction of a world-class university, improve the quality of international student recruitment and training, and improve the quality and efficiency of international student education management, the school has established the Shandong University Outstanding International Student Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the "Shandong Award"). Every year, a certain number of international students who apply to study for academic programs at the school will receive scholarship support.
I. Application qualifications
1. Non-Chinese citizens, friendly to China, and physically and mentally healthy.
2. International students who have obtained admission qualifications but have not yet enrolled in the current year.
3. Educational qualifications and age requirements:
(1) Applicants for a bachelor's degree must have a high school diploma or equivalent academic qualification, excellent academic performance, and are generally under 25 years old;
(2) Applicants for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualification, excellent academic performance, and are generally under 35 years old;
(3) Applicants for a doctoral degree must have a master's degree or equivalent academic qualification, excellent academic performance, and are generally under 40 years old.
4. Not receiving other scholarships or funding at the same time.
5. Language Proficiency Requirements:
(1) Applicants for a bachelor’s degree in a Chinese-taught program must have achieved a Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 5 score of 180 or above. Applicants for a master’s degree must have achieved a Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 6 score of 180 or above. Applicants for a doctoral degree must have achieved a Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 6 score of 210 or above. Applicants whose highest academic degree was taught in Chinese are exempt from submitting an HSK certificate, but must provide proof of the language of instruction. (2) Applicants whose native language is English for English-taught programs are exempt from providing English language certification; applicants whose native language is not English must provide IELTS (6.0 and above), TOEFL (80 and above, our school's DI code: C296), TOEFL combined score (80 and above) and Essentials test (8 and above) or other equivalent English proficiency certification materials; applicants whose native language is not English and whose highest academic degree was taught in English do not need to provide IELTS/TOEFL or other English proficiency certification materials, but must submit a teaching language certification. 6.
Meet the other requirements of the school's international student admissions brochure for that year.
7. Meet the relevant provisions of the "Notice of the Ministry of Education on Standardizing the Work Related to the Acceptance of International Students by Our Higher Education Institutions" (Jiaowai Han [2020] No. 12). Note: Whether an applicant who has foreign nationality also has the nationality of the People's Republic of China shall be subject to the nationality determination conclusion of the exit and entry management department of the Chinese public security agency. If an applicant is found to have Chinese nationality after application, admission and enrollment, his/her application, admission or study qualifications will be cancelled.

II. Scholarship Categories and Duration
1. Scholarship Categories: The Shandong University Grand Prize is divided into two types: full scholarships and partial scholarships.
Full scholarships cover tuition, living expenses, accommodation, and comprehensive medical insurance; partial scholarships cover tuition and comprehensive medical insurance.
2. Scholarship Duration: The duration of the Shandong University Grand Prize is consistent with the basic academic period of the relevant major, and in principle, the funding period will not be extended.

III. Application Period:
From now until April 1, 2025 Note: Supplementary materials cannot be submitted after the application deadline. Applicants are advised to complete their applications at least two weeks before the deadline.

IV. Application Methods, Enrollment Majors, and Application Materials
1. Eligible applicants must log in to the Shandong University International Student Online Application System ( contact E-Square to get the website ) to apply online.
2. After receiving the pre-admission email, you must pay an application fee of RMB 400 (the application fee is non-refundable once paid).
3. For detailed information on admission programs, application materials, and other requirements, please refer to the "Shandong University 2025 International Student (Undergraduate) Admissions Brochure," "Shandong University 2025 International Student (Master's) Admissions Brochure," and "Shandong University 2025 International Student (PhD) Admissions Brochure."

V. Application Results
: After completing your application, please monitor your application system and registered email address for updates on your admission status and other related information.

VI. Other Information:
1. Applicants who receive the Shandong Award must register on campus strictly according to the time specified in the admission notice. Original graduation/degree certificates, language proficiency certificates, and foreigner physical examination forms will be verified upon registration. Failure to provide these documents will result in disqualification from admission. 
2. Award recipients must pay all fees on time and participate in the annual review. Failure to meet the annual review criteria will result in suspension or revocation of the scholarship.
