1. Introduction
To attract and encourage outstanding young people from abroad to study at our university, Harbin Institute of Technology has established the International Student Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the "Scholarship"). 2. Funding Targets, Duration and Content

III. Application Requirements
: Basic Requirements:
(1) Love China, be friendly to China, and conscientiously abide by Chinese laws and regulations, as well as all school rules and regulations.
(2) Be a non-Chinese citizen and be in good physical and mental health.
(3) Not be receiving any other scholarships.
Other Requirements:
(4) Undergraduate applicants must have a high school diploma or above and be no older than 25 years old.
(5) Language Requirements: For programs taught in Chinese (excluding Chinese Language and Literature), applicants must provide a Chinese Proficiency Test ( HSK ) score (New HSK Level 4 score of 210 or above, valid for no more than two years). Applicants whose compulsory secondary education (junior high school and high school) was taught in Chinese are exempt from submitting an HSK score . English-taught programs do not require Chinese proficiency. Applicants whose native language (or official language) is not English must provide proof of TOEFL/IELTS or other English language proficiency (IELTS score of 6 or TOEFL score of 80 or above).
(6) Excellent academic performance.


IV. Application Materials
(I)
Applicants for the Undergraduate Program Scholarship must complete the online application through the Harbin Institute of Technology International Student Application System ( contact E-Square to get website ) and upload scanned copies of the following documents as required. Application materials must be in Chinese or English; documents in other languages must provide notarized translations:
1.  Passport copy (regular passport valid for at least one year);
2.  High school diploma. Recent graduates may provide proof of expected graduation; upon admission, they must submit an original or notarized copy of their high school diploma ;
3.  Transcripts of all high school courses;
4.  Language proficiency certificate;
5.  Recent medical examination certificate;
6.  Criminal record certificate (valid for 6 months);
7.  Resume;
8.  Remittance receipt for the application fee: RMB 600 ;
9.
Proof  of deposit (at least RMB 20,000 or equivalent in foreign currency);
10.  Evidence of outstanding achievements in academics, sports, arts, cultural exchange, or public welfare activities (optional) .

5. Application Period:
The scholarship application period runs from October 1st to May 31st of the following year . International students who meet the eligibility requirements must submit their applications within the specified timeframe.  

6. Annual Review:
The International Education College organizes an annual review of scholarship students in July each year . This review covers academic performance, learning attitude, attendance, behavioral performance, and any rewards and penalties.
The scholarship review results are either "pass" or "fail." Students who fail the annual review will have their scholarship eligibility suspended or revoked starting from the start of the following academic year.
