Eligible applicants
are non-Chinese nationals; are friendly to China, have no criminal record, and abide by Chinese government laws and regulations and the school's rules and regulations; are physically and mentally healthy, have excellent academic performance, and are interested in pursuing Chinese language education, teaching, and related work. Applicants must be between 16 and 35 years old (as of September 1, 2023). The age limit for currently employed Chinese teachers is extended to 45 years old.
International Chinese Teacher Scholarship Funding and Related Regulations
: The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses (except for four-week trainees), and comprehensive medical insurance. The online scholarship program only covers tuition. The university provides free dormitories, generally double rooms. For off-campus accommodation, upon application and university approval, the university will provide a monthly or quarterly accommodation allowance of RMB 700. Living allowance is paid monthly, with a standard of RMB 2,500 per month for one-year and one-semester trainees. Scholarship students must enroll on the date specified in the Beihang University admission notice; otherwise, their scholarship will be revoked. Students who register on campus before the 15th of the month (inclusive) will receive a full monthly living allowance; those who register after the 15th will receive a half-month living allowance. Scholarship students who leave China for more than 15 days for personal reasons during their studies (excluding winter and summer vacations) will have their living allowance suspended. Scholarship students who take a leave of absence, withdraw from studies, or receive disciplinary action for personal reasons will have their living allowance suspended from the date of suspension, withdrawal, or receipt of the disciplinary notice. Graduates will receive a living allowance until two weeks after the graduation date determined by the university. Comprehensive medical insurance premiums are regulated by the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education of China regarding studying in China and are purchased by the university. Four-week traineeships are 160 RMB per student, one-semester traineeships are 400 RMB per student, and those enrolled for one academic year or longer are 800 RMB per student per year.
Application Process:
Applicants can log on to the website of the China-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center for Language Exchange and Cooperation"), search for recommended institutions, and select "Beihang University" as the receiving institution. They should submit their application materials online and monitor the application progress, review opinions, and scholarship evaluation results. They should confirm the procedures for studying in China with Beihang University and print their award certificates online. They should then register for admission according to the date specified in the Beihang University admission notice.
