1. Recipients of the “Beihang University Self-funded Foreign Student Scholarship”
The Beihang University Self-funded International Student Scholarship is designed to encourage outstanding self-funded international students who are diligent in their studies, have excellent academic performance, and are actively involved in various scientific research, social welfare, cultural, and sports activities. The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students, both freshmen and current students.


II. Award Levels of the “Beihang University Self-funded Foreign Student Scholarship”
The "Beihang University Self-funded Foreign Student Scholarship" award is divided into two levels: full scholarship and partial scholarship.
Full scholarship: including tuition, accommodation, insurance and living expenses (refer to the Chinese Government Scholarship Standard);
Partial Scholarship: Full or partial tuition fee (20%, 50%, 80% or 100% tuition fee reduction), full or partial accommodation fee, full or partial living allowance.


III. Application Requirements for the Beihang University Self-funded Foreign Student Scholarship
New applicants must meet the application requirements specified in Beihang University's International Student Admissions Guide and not be receiving any other scholarship funding.
(1) Application requirements for freshmen (undergraduates)
Undergraduate freshmen who meet one of the following conditions may apply:
1. Excellent academic performance and character during high school, with excellent graduation results;
2. Top scores in the entrance examination;
3. Outstanding performance in the admissions interview;
4. Have special talents in literature, art, sports, etc.
(2) Application Requirements for New Students (Graduate Students)
New graduate students who meet any of the following conditions may apply:
1. Graduated from a well-known university at home or abroad with excellent academic performance;
2. Have outstanding achievements or great development potential in the field of work or study;
3. Published high-quality papers during the previous degree study.
Current student applicants must be self-funded international students who have studied at the university for one full academic year and must abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the school's rules and regulations.
(3) Application requirements for current students (undergraduates)
1. Positive learning attitude, hard work, and excellent academic performance in the previous academic year;
2. Actively participate in various scientific research practices, social welfare activities and cultural practice activities;
3. Actively participate in various cultural and sports activities organized by the school and departments.
(IV) Application requirements for current students (graduate students)
Graduate students who meet one of the following conditions may apply:
1. Possess a positive learning attitude, be diligent and hardworking, have passed the courses specified in the training plan and achieved excellent academic results. Junior graduate students should generally have an average score of 85 or above; senior graduate students should have made good progress and achieved good results in scientific research.
2. Actively participate in various scientific research practices, social welfare activities and cultural practice activities;
3. Actively participate in various cultural and sports activities organized by the school and departments.
(5) Applicants who fall into any of the following circumstances are not eligible to apply for the " Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Self-funded Foreign Student Scholarship " :
1. Those who have been subject to criminal detention, public security penalties, or administrative sanctions for violating Chinese laws, regulations, or school rules and regulations;
2. Those who are absent without reason three times in a semester or seriously violate classroom discipline;
3. Graduate students who have failed the required degree courses specified in the teaching plan of the previous academic year;
4. Undergraduate students who have failed three or more courses in the previous academic year;
5. Those who falsify scholarship application materials.


IV. Application Methods and Application Period for the Beihang University Self-funded Foreign Student Scholarship
1. The Beihang University Self-Funded Foreign Student Scholarship is awarded for one year. Applicants must apply on a per-school basis. International students who meet the application requirements must submit a completed "Beihang University Self-Funded Foreign Student Scholarship Application Form" to the Beihang University International College Scholarship Office (Contact E-Square to get scholarships form).
2. New applicants must submit all the application materials required by the Beihang University Admissions Guide. Current undergraduate applicants must provide their transcripts from the previous academic year and a letter of recommendation from their department or class advisor. Current graduate applicants must provide their transcripts from the previous academic year, along with proof of publication, award certificates, and a letter of recommendation from their department or advisor.
3. The application deadline for the "Beihang University Self-funded Foreign Student Scholarship" is May 31st for new students. The application period for current students is between May 5th and May 15th each year, subject to the notification of the year.
4. After evaluation, the list of winners of the “Beihang University Self-funded Foreign Student Scholarship” will be announced on the Beihang University International College website for one week.
