To support more outstanding international students to pursue undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees at Beijing Foreign Studies University, students who have registered for self-funded programs can apply for the Beijing Foreign Students Scholarship based on their individual circumstances.
1. Application Deadline
Spring admission: December 20, 2024
Fall semester: June 5, 2025
II. Application Method
Please email your application materials to the receiving institution (mail list at the bottom). Please indicate in the email title: Application for BGS + Name + Passport Number + Institution Name.
III. Application Steps
(1) Applicants for this program should first log in to our International Student Online Service System (Contact E-Square to get scholarships information) to complete their personal admission application and download the Beijing Foreign Studies University International Student Admission Application Form for future reference(Contact E-Square to get scholarships information).
(2) Send the following materials (in Chinese or English) to the designated email address
(1) Application Form for International Students at Beijing Foreign Studies University
(2) Application Form for Beijing Foreign Student Scholarship;
(3) Highest academic qualification certificate and academic transcript;
(4) Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate or English proficiency certificate;
(5) Other supporting materials that the applicant considers necessary, such as letters of recommendation, award certificates, etc.
4. Determine the winners
The university will review the application materials and select the best candidates for scholarship funding. The list of awardees will be announced on the website of the International Students Office of Beijing Foreign Studies University for five working days from the date of announcement.
5. Special Notes
1. Applicants must first meet the admission requirements stipulated in the 2024 Beijing Foreign Studies University International Student Admissions Regulations. The majors to be applied for are those that our university accepts international students. The admission regulations and major catalogue published by Beijing Foreign Studies University at the time of application shall prevail.
2. Applicants for this program must first complete their personal admission application through our online international student service system. Admission eligibility is determined upon receipt of the Beijing Foreign Studies University Admission Notice. If you are ultimately not admitted, any scholarship awarded will be automatically forfeited.
3. This scholarship is limited to covering tuition fees, and the funding is provided in the form of tuition reduction or exemption. The scholarship standards are: full scholarship (full semester/one academic year); half scholarship (one semester);
4. Application materials submitted by applicants will not be returned regardless of whether they are approved or not, and those who are not selected will not be notified separately;
5. The applicant is responsible for the authenticity of the materials provided. Once any fraud is discovered, the applicant shall bear the consequences.
