The SCUT International Scholarship for Excellence is established by South China University of Technology to encourage outstanding international students to study and conduct research at the university. This scholarship provides funding in the form of an annual tuition waiver and is divided into several tiers. The School of International Education of South China University of Technology is responsible for accepting scholarship applications, selection, and daily management.

This scholarship is divided into several tiers, with the following benefits:
Undergraduate Program
Level 1 Scholarship: Full tuition waiver for the entire program.
Level 2 Scholarship: 50% tuition waiver for the entire program.
Level 3 Scholarship: 50% tuition waiver for the first two academic years.
Master's Program
Level 1 Scholarship: Full tuition waiver for the entire program.
Level 2 Scholarship: 50% tuition waiver for the entire program.
Level 3 Scholarship: 50% tuition waiver for the first two academic years.
Doctoral Program
Full tuition waiver. Monthly living allowance of RMB 1,400.
Note:
The scholarship only covers the standard study period specified in the program. Students who extend their study period will be responsible for the additional expenses.
Scholarship recipients are required to undergo an annual review. Those who successfully pass will receive the scholarship for the next academic year.
Students who fail the annual review will have their scholarship suspended and will be eligible for the next annual review to determine whether their scholarship eligibility will be reinstated.
Application Deadline and Admission Date
The application deadline for the South China University of Technology Outstanding International Student Scholarship is generally June 15th. The specific application period may vary due to adjustments to the university's annual enrollment plan. Scholarship recipients will enroll in September.
South China University of Technology Outstanding International Student Scholarship Application Requirements
Basic Requirements
Non-Chinese nationals, physically and mentally healthy. Must abide by Chinese laws, regulations, and university rules and regulations. Applicants may not be concurrently receiving other scholarships.
Age and Educational Requirements
Undergraduate Program: High school graduate, age 25 or younger.
Master's Program: Bachelor's degree graduate, age 35 or younger. Doctoral Program: Master's degree holders, age 40 or younger.

Application Materials
Applicants for the South China University of Technology Outstanding International Student Scholarship must prepare the following documents:
1. Passport
2. ID photo
3. Graduation certificate (if you haven't graduated yet, please provide a pre-graduation certificate or a certificate of enrollment)
4. Academic transcripts
5. Proof of language proficiency
6. Study or research plan in China
7. Two letters of recommendation
8. "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" (valid for 6 months)
9. Criminal record certificate (valid for 6 months)
10. Graduate applicants must provide a letter of acceptance from their supervisor; doctoral applicants must submit research findings or a master's thesis
11. Applicants in the arts or architecture field must provide a portfolio
