Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students

In order to attract more outstanding international students to study in Guangdong, vigorously promote the healthy and rapid development of international student work in Guangdong's higher education, and enhance the international influence of Guangdong's higher education, the Guangdong Provincial Government has specially established the "Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students" to recruit outstanding international students from all over the world.

 Applicant Qualifications:

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health;
2. Applicants' educational background and age requirements:

• Applicants pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Chinese school must have completed high school or its equivalent and be under 25 years old;
• Applicants who come to China to pursue a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years old;
• Applicants who come to China to pursue a doctoral degree must have a master's degree and be under 40 years old.

 Scholarship Level and Content:

• PhD students: RMB 30,000;
• Master's degree students: RMB 20,000;
• Undergraduate students: RMB 10,000

 Application period:

1. Application deadline: June 30th of each year;
2. Three centralized reviews will be held from May to July each year, and the award-winning students will be notified of the review results;
3. Admission letters and other admission documents will be mailed in July and August each year. Students are required to download the visa application form (JW202) online.
4. School starts on September 1st of each year (subject to the admission letter);

 Application Process:

The Guangdong Provincial Government International Student Scholarship does not require an application. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit among accepted applicants. Scholarship evaluation will only include an application form and supporting documents to ensure they meet undergraduate and graduate admission requirements.

The list of scholarship winners will be subject to the results announced by the Guangdong Provincial Government.
