Criteria

Malaysian students enrolled full-time at Sunway University/College (KL) who meet the following athletic criteria:

• National Athletes - Elite first-line athletes representing the national team
• State Athletes - Participants in SUKMA/MSSM competitions

Sports scholarships are exclusively available for specific sports disciplines. Eligible sports include:

• Archery
• Athletics (track & field, javelin, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, discus)
• Badminton
• Basketball
• Bowling (tenpin)
• Chess (International)
• Table Tennis
• Taekwondo (WT)
• Tennis
• Squash
• Swimming

All sports must be officially recognized at the national level by Majlis Sukan Negara or the respective National Sports Association.

Note: This sports scholarship program is exclusively available to Malaysian citizens.

Highlight

• Scholarship disbursement commences in the second semester of the academic program. Any tuition fees paid during the first semester will be refunded upon successful program completion.
• Scholars are required to represent the institution in MASISWA, SUKIPT, and IPT games, as well as other tournaments as requested by the institution's management.
• Sports scholarship recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance throughout their studies.
• A minimum annual contribution of 80 hours is required for sports training, workshops, clinical work, and related activities (excluding training and competition hours). This requirement does not apply to current national athletes who are actively participating in Malaysia National Team training programs.
