Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements for their chosen programme.
- Open to students from financially disadvantaged families, as well as those who are underprivileged or orphaned.
Highlights
- Bursary recipients must reapply for a scholarship after fulfilling the University College's requirements.
- It is the recipient's duty to submit a new application, including the latest academic results and the application form (available from any Education Counsellor), to Student Services by the first month of Year 2 Semester 1.
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
- To retain the Special Bursary Award, recipients must achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and pass all subjects each semester. Failure to do so will result in the termination of the award for subsequent semesters.
- The bursary covers tuition fees only. For students transferring courses, the bursary applies only to non-transferred course units.
- Recipients are expected to support University College activities, including marketing, events, and administrative tasks as required. Non-compliance without valid reasons may lead to suspension or revocation of the award.
- Contribution hours per semester: Less than 20% waiver – 10 hours; 20% to 50% waiver – 15 hours. (No contribution hours required during internship semester.)
