Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have met the minimum entry requirements for their chosen programme.
- Participation as a state or national representative in sporting events is required.
- Applicants must provide a Certificate of Achievement for sports won at state, national, or international level, awarded within two years prior to application.
Highlights
- National athletes representing Malaysia in recognized international competitions (e.g., ASEAN University Games, Southeast Asian Games) are eligible.
- For scholarship recipients who win at least a bronze medal during their studies, all contribution hours are exempted.
- Those who participate but do not win a medal will have 30 contribution hours waived.
- State athletes who compete in national-level events (e.g., MSSM, SUKMA, SUKIPT, SIPMA) are also eligible.
- State-level winners of at least a bronze medal will have 45 contribution hours waived; non-winners will have 15 hours waived.
- Scholarship holders must uphold the reputation of HCUC and reapply for the scholarship in Year 2 Semester 1 with updated results and application form.
- Reapplication is only possible if minimum entry requirements were met before Year 1 Semester 1; later applications require a CGPA of 3.00 or above.
- Late applications will not be considered.
- To retain the scholarship, a minimum CGPA of 3.00 must be maintained each semester.
- Scholarship covers tuition fees only and is not transferable to other course units.
- Recipients may be required to assist in university events and activities; non-compliance may result in suspension or termination of the scholarship.
- Contribution hours per semester: 15 hours for both 30% and 50% tuition fee waivers.
- Contribution hours are not required during internship semesters.
