Note: If an applicant is found to have Chinese nationality by the Chinese public security authorities after application, admission or enrollment, his/her application, admission or enrollment qualifications will be cancelled or the applicant will be expelled.

4.  Applicants must be no older than 30 years old (applicants for HIT scholarships must be no older than 25 years old);
5. Language requirements: 
Majors taught in Chinese (excluding Chinese Language and Literature): There is no requirement for English proficiency. Applicants are required to provide a Chinese Proficiency Test ( HSK ) score certificate (new HSK Level 4 score of 210 or above, valid for two years). If the teaching language of the required courses in the applicant's previous academic degree is Chinese, a Chinese teaching certificate issued by the previous academic institution can be provided in place of the Chinese Proficiency Test ( HSK ) score certificate;
English-taught majors: No requirement for Chinese proficiency, but applicants are required to provide proof of English proficiency (IELTS Academic 6.0 or above (with no less than 5.5 in each subject ), TOEFL 80 or above). If the language of instruction for the required courses in the applicant's previous academic program is English, a certificate of English instruction issued by the previous academic institution may be provided in lieu of proof of English proficiency .
 
Required application materials:
Applicants need to log in to the Harbin Institute of Technology International Student Application System to complete the online application ( Contact E-Square to get official account), and upload scanned copies of the following documents as required. Application materials must be in Chinese or English. Notarized copies of translations in other languages ​​are required;
1. A copy of your passport;
2. High school diploma. Fresh graduates can provide a certificate of expected graduation. The original or notarized copy of the high school diploma must be submitted upon admission .
3. Transcripts of all courses taken during high school;
4. Language proficiency certificate (same as the language of the course you are applying for);
5. "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" (valid for 6 months, see the attached template for details) Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record". "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" with missing items, no photo of the applicant or no seal on the photo, and no signature and seal of the doctor and hospital will be deemed invalid;
6. Certificate of no criminal record (valid for 6 months);
7. Personal resume and personal introduction video;
8. Remittance voucher for self-funded student registration fee: RMB 400 / USD 60
Failure to pay the registration fee or failure to indicate the applicant's passport number during the transfer will render the application invalid.
9. Deposit certificate ( financial guarantee of at least RMB 20,000 or equivalent in foreign currency);
10. Documentary evidence of outstanding achievements in academics, sports, art, cultural exchanges, public welfare activities, etc. (optional) .

All undergraduate majors can be taught in Chinese , and civil engineering, computer science and technology, and artificial intelligence majors can be taught in English.
